Rock and roll with a high altitude twist. Grown in the Colorado mountains these young musicians know how to rock a crowd.
The Hounds of Purg began when the boys were in 5th grade elementary school. Remy (lead guitar) told Jayson (bass) that he wanted to have a band in the 5th grade talent show, and he wanted Jayson to learn how to play the bass. Riley was their drummer.
The song they chose was Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes. There is a line in the song "from the Queen of England to the Hounds of Hell." This being a 5th grade talent show, they couldn't say hell, so they changed it to the "Hounds of Purg." The name stuck, and a music career began.
The band continued to play at events at their middle school, as well as around town. Riley went on to other things, and Drew became the band's drummer. This worked well and then they decided keyboards would add a nice punch to the band. Alden (keyboards) came on board.
Drew went on to other things, and in 2008 the band held auditions and Lane (drums) became the band's drummer.
